Amazon PPC Management for Supplement Brands

Supplements are the most competitive, most policy-sensitive category on Amazon. Generic PPC agencies treat a magnesium listing like a phone case. I don't. I have run Amazon advertising for supplement and nutraceutical brands for over a decade, at monthly ad budgets from $1,000 to more than $250,000, and I manage every account myself.

    Who this is for

    • Supplement or nutraceutical brands doing $20K to $500K a month on Amazon
    • Brands whose ACOS is fine but whose sales won't scale
    • Founders who want one accountable person, not an agency account manager
    • Brands launching a new SKU into an established category

PPC as a ranking lever, not just a sales channel

On Amazon, ads and organic rank are the same system. A sale from an exact-match keyword campaign tells Amazon's algorithm that your product belongs on page one for that search. That is the whole strategy: identify the handful of terms where you can win, buy them precisely, convert them, and let the organic rank follow.

Most supplement PPC I inherit is the opposite. Broad and auto campaigns spraying spend across hundreds of irrelevant terms, five ASINs jammed into one ad group so nobody can tell what is working, and a TACOS that only looks healthy because organic sales are hiding the waste.

What supplement PPC needs that other categories don't

Amazon's supplement policies decide whether your ads run at all. A listing that trips a disease-claim filter or is missing the FDA disclaimer gets its ads paused, and no bid strategy fixes that. I check listing compliance before I touch a campaign, because ad dollars spent on a suppressible listing are wasted twice.

Supplement search behavior is also different. Buyers search by ingredient and dose ("magnesium glycinate 400mg"), by outcome ("sleep support"), and by brand. Each needs its own campaign structure and its own bid logic. Ingredient terms are where the volume is; outcome terms are where the margin is.

    How I run an account

Every account gets a weekly review, not a monthly report. I pull the full bulk operations file and the search query performance data, look at every keyword and target against its ACOS, conversion rate, and rank contribution, and make bid and budget changes based on that. Wasted spend gets negated. Winning terms get their own exact-match campaigns with room to grow.

You see the same numbers I see. I report TACOS, not just ACOS, because TACOS is the number that tells you whether ads are building the business or just renting sales.

    How it works

    1. 1

      Audit

Full campaign teardown plus a listing compliance check. You get a written plan before spending a dollar with me.

    2. 2

      Restructure

Weeks 1 to 4 are front-loaded. Campaigns rebuilt by intent (ingredient, outcome, brand, competitor), one ASIN per ad group, negatives applied, budgets reallocated.

    3. 3

      Rank

Exact-match campaigns on the terms you can win, bid to convert, monitored daily during the ranking push.

    4. 4

      Steady state

Weekly optimization, monthly strategy call, TACOS held inside the target we agree on.

    What you get

    • Campaign architecture built for supplements: ingredient, outcome, brand defense, competitor conquest
    • Weekly bid, budget, and negative keyword optimization
    • Search query performance analysis to find terms you already convert on but don't own
    • Listing compliance check so ads are never paused for a claims violation
    • TACOS and profit reporting, not vanity ACOS
    • Direct access to me on WhatsApp or email. No account managers, no junior hand-off

    Pricing

    From $500 per month

Plus a one-time audit fee to start. Retainer scales with ad spend and SKU count. No percentage-of-spend pricing, so I have no incentive to make you spend more.

    Results

    Real accounts, real numbers.

    Questions

How is this different from a big Amazon agency?

You get me, not a rotating account manager. I have 14 years selling and consulting on Amazon, I am an Amazon Registered Service Provider, and supplements are the category I chose to specialize in. Agencies chase spend; I chase rank and margin.

Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?

No. A flat monthly retainer based on the size of the account. Percentage pricing rewards the agency for spending your money, and I would rather be paid for results.

What ad spend do you work with?

I have managed accounts from $1,000 a month to over $250,000 a month. The sweet spot is brands doing $20K to $500K a month in sales, where good PPC structure moves the needle fast.

How soon will I see results?

Waste comes out in the first two weeks. Ranking gains from exact-match campaigns usually show within 30 to 60 days, depending on how competitive the terms are and whether the listing converts.

Can you fix my ads if my listing has compliance problems?

Not without fixing the listing first, and I will tell you that up front. Suppressed listings don't advertise. Listing compliance is part of every audit, and I handle the rewrite if you need it.
